The whole day, June 17, 2007, is one of those that will remain long in the memory: the laying of the cornerstone of the hospice, in Caselle beyond the 'official' event with a lot of authority, band and lunch (very good), organized by the Alpine troops, was the starting point for an adventure that, without rhetoric, I can define exciting. And to say it is one that do not get excited, it must be worthwhile. And here it's worth it. Sure, Don Sergio is crucial in this matter, but we should not over-burdened with responsibility, we should not put all the expectations on his shoulders. Among other things, I'm sure this is not what he wants. Instead, we must all do our part, each with its style and its limits and without a desire to excel. For me it's nice to think that we are free not to join a "think" religious and yet feel part of this project, however, is a part of something larger: this something is our life, nothing more nor less. Just live it. That's it. Does not require heroics, but "only" warning, availability and be honest with themselves.
I found very beautiful image used by Don Sergio, that of a hypothetical gimmick installed in our heads that can be projected on a screen in front of us and to others, our real thoughts: how nice it would not be afraid this! And certainly not to pry into other people's thoughts, but to see if what is hidden in our heads that match the words to declare that we will. A useful exercise to do daily.
